Drivers with paid permits, such as A & U permits, are eligible for discounted charging rates at ChargePoint stations. To set up this commuter benefit follow the steps below:

 

Using the ChargePoint app

  1. Open ChargePoint app
  2. Tap the three parallel bars in the upper left corner
  3. Tap Account
  4. Tap Connections
  5. Tap Browse Connections
  6. Enter one of the codes below in the box, then Tap 'Go'
    1. UUEmployeeEV if you are an employee
    2. UUStudentEV if you are a student
  1. Once the search is complete, Tap either "Employees-U of U" or "Students-U of U"
  2. Enter your uNID and license plate number associated with your parking permit, read the Terms & Conditions, check the box, and tap 'Submit Request'

How to set up a ChargePoint “Connection” online

  1. Go to www.chargepoint.com
  2. SIGN UP for a membership or LOG IN (link is in upper right corner of the website)
  3. On the home page, click on the Connections tab
  4. Enter one of the codes below in the box, then Tap 'Apply'
    1. UUEmployeeEV if you are an employee
    2. UUStudentEV if your are a student
  1. Either "Employees-U of U" or "Students-U of U" should appear in the search table. Click 'Request' in the in the Connect column.
  2. Enter your uNID and license plate number associated with your parking permit, read the terms and conditions and check the box if you agree, click Submit Request

Your request will be submitted and if you are eligible, your request will be approved. Note, approval may take 24-48 hours.

Access is reset at the end of each semester; you will need to renew your commuter benefit each semester. Make note to renew your access in January, May and August (see the Academic Calendar for exact dates).

Refunds for charging will not be given for failure to renew, or during the time between requesting and approval.
